Four years ago, New York City suffered its first brutal assault at the hands of the Masked Maniac, leaving seventeen dead. No one has caught the Masked Maniac, and more people have ended up dead. Now, the average New Yorker has just adjusted to the chance they may be murdered by this serial killer, much in the same way they’ve learned to live with pollution, the broken subway and muggings. Part intense slasher horror story full of real, frightening violence and part satirical comedy about how poorly we as a species deal with tragedy, violence, and fear.
