The world is dying. In one of the last cities left, a desperate plan is hatched: send a human being to a parallel universe, a world where the world sickness was cured, and send back the cure. The first mission fails in a spectacular, horrifying way–leaving back up astronaut DOUGLAS as one of the last hopes for all of humanity. Douglas is ready for this mission, even knowing it’s a one-way trip, and a suicide one, at that–since the only way to transmit the cure back to his home dimension is to kill himself upon arrival in the new one. Despite all of this, Douglas will do his duty…that is, until he arrives in the new dimension and a familiar face tempts him to leave his old world behind…
